Yes! NFTs do take the form of digital media, from videos to audios, pictures, and more. And yes, digital media can definitely be copied and pasted, or screenshot. However, not NFTs! They are more legit. You simply cannot screenshot nor copy and paste an NFT. It is much more than that!
NFTs are different!
NFTs cannot be copied and pasted. It is not that simple since it is much more valuable that any digital media. NFTs include a number of elements that make it unique, exclusive and limited, such as the contract which identifies the initial owner, the authenticity certificate, and the proof of ownership. Without these, you do not have an NFT. In addition, you can always track an NFT back to its origin, and this is because of the blockchain, through which you can go back to all owners, transactions, prices and more of any NFT.
What about the platforms?
Of course, you cannot go ahead and copy paste an NFT from a platform and make it yours. Even the platform itself requires users to create accounts and connect your wallets in order to buy or sell. Hence, everything inside your wallet will be visible. They even have a validation mark for authentication and confirmation of projects and people.
Finally, NFTs are very valuable, not only in its features and returns, but also in their prices! NFTs are digital collectible and artworks which requires proofs for ownerships and authenticity. Hence, this is what proves that a certain NFT is yours. Its authenticity! So, if you were thinking that it was this easy to own an NFT, think again!
