A music festival is tapping into NFTs!

The music festival, Coachella, is joining the NFT craze by providing attendees, and in collaboration with exchange FTX US, with unlimited passes to its year festival. So, what are they up to?

Three collections of NFTs

Starting on Friday, three NFT collections will be auctioned. One of the NFT debut is Coachella Keys Collection which includes 10 pieces that give the owners “lifetime access” every April for one weekend. In addition, it also includes “Coachella produced virtual experiences forever." The festival’s innovation lead, Sam Schoonover, stated, and we quote, “Only blockchain technology can give us the unique ability to offer tradeable lifetime passes to Coachella for the first time ever.”

Moreover, the keys can be traded, sold and bought. Everything is transferred with the selling of the key, from the passes to all the benefits. It is vital that attendees and pass owners verify their keys before April 1 in order to access the festival. Some of the extra benefits that are offered to key owners are special viewing areas, lifetime camping, as well as a private dinner.

Other than these keys?
other than the keys collection, Coachella is auctioning additional digital collectibles including physical artworks. “Minting any NFT within the Sights and Sound Collection or the Desert Reflections Collection will grant the owner a random digital copy of iconic festival photos or festival posters”. Interesting! What do you think?
