NFTs have become a new luxury trend when it comes to several industries, from art and music to fashion, sports, cars and much more! That is why luxurious brands are working to join in on the NFT craze, which is important for them to keep up with the developmental and technological advancements taking over our world today.
Ferrari’s turn!
After Lamborghini, Ferrari, another luxury automotive maker, has announced its entry into the world of NFTs. Venturing with Velas Network, a Swiss technology firm and an owner of an NFT marketplace, Ferrari will be debuting a series of NFTs including “exclusive digital content” related to cars, obviously, as stated by the company itself. This step caused an important increase in Velas’s token, VLX, from $0.25 to $0.35. This is definitely foreseen as Ferrari is considered to be one of the leading brands in the automotive industry and has a fan database of millions of people. This is proven by its millions of followers on social media platforms.
Some statements from company executives!
Ferrari’s Formula 1 racing team is the main part of the deal. Other than the NFT pieces to be debuted, Velas Network will be a Title Sponsor for the Ferrari Esports Series. A statement was released by the General Manager and Team Principal for Scuderia Ferrari, Mattia Binotto, during which he says, and we quote, “We are pleased to start this collaboration with Velas Network AG, a company that makes innovation and performance the hallmark of technologically advanced products and services: these are all values that unite us and that led us to choose Velas as one of our Premium Partner.”
Moreover, Velas Network’s CEO and Co-Founder, Farhad Shagulyamov, also had a say regarding Ferrari, and we quote, “Having built a next-generation blockchain that puts the emphasis both on sustainability and performance, it was natural to partner with another icon of excellence, which is Ferrari. Velas has introduced an innovative variety of pioneering technology into the blockchain and associated products, which will now be showcased at the pinnacle of motorsport.”
