NYSE and its own NFT marketplace!

Last year, the New York Stock Exchange, NYSE, minted and debuted 6 NFTs to honor the release of the tech stocks, but without selling them. They were nicknamed the Wall Street NFTs and were considered a big thing as they appeared on top of Crypto.com’s list.

Hence, NYSE are not new to this industry and they have already tapped into this before. What is new, however, is the fact that they are working on an NFT marketplace of their own, which includes cryptocurrencies, digital artworks and more.

Trademarking it !

With the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the NYSE filed for a trademark application for the marketplace. If they get the approval and all goes as planned, this looks like a promising future for the exchange. It is said that the latter will be able to compete with the big guys, such as Rarible, OpenSea, and much more.

Let’s see how things for. Hopefully, we will be getting a lot of news regarding trademark approvals as more and more entities, celebrities, and brands are filing for applications to trademark NFTs, lands on the metaverse, marketplaces, and much more. It’s looking good for this industry! Do you believe it’s a hype? Or is this the future?
