Spotify is one of the biggest audio streaming platform on a worldwide basis. Today, they are mapping out an all-in plan to enter the metaverse. Back in 2017, they took on Mediachain Labs, a blockchain startup. Moreover, in 2020, they posted a job vacancy, emphasized on blockchain and crypto, for payments strategy and innovation. Today, and again, they are on the lookout for a Web3 engineer and a senior manager who are well aware of emerging technologies!

The Web3 investment plan is still in its early phase!

The job post says, and we quote, “The team, within the Edison/DICE product area, is responsible for driving growth through new technologies, like Web3”. The applicant who succeeds will be working alongside Spotify’s insights, product and design departments. In addition, a senior manager who specializes in market and innovation intelligence related to the Web3 and new technologies is also requested. So, what are you waiting for?

Spotify needs to act quick

Recently, many of Spotify’s shareholders, such as Sony and Universal, as well as some of their biggest artists have already started their journey within the metaverse either by throwing virtual concerts or investing. Spotify needs to act quick and kick off their metaverse plan as soon as possible to be able to compete with their rivals who already started. What do you think?
