Elon Musk recently created a poll on Twitter asking his millions of fans a “serious” question! He tweeted while asking for opinions on whether people think that Twitter “rigorously conforms” to the fact that ““free expression is important to a functioning democracy.” Now, the interesting part is that most of his 70 million followers answer no! He did ask them to answer seriously by saying, and we quote, “The repercussions of this poll will be significant. Please vote with care.”

So, what do you think the repercussions are?

What happened is that after their answer, Elon Musk had to suggest a new open-source social media network. First, he asked his followers in another tweet, and we quote, ““How should we proceed?” One follower answered him by stating, “One that would consist [of] an open-source algorithm, one where free speech and sticking to free speech is given high priority, one where propaganda is extremely minimal.” Here, Elon Musk replied to him, and we quote, “Am giving serious attention to this.” He also added that this new network will have to accept Dogecoin, his all-time favorite cryptocurrency!

Another follower referred to TikTok platform as “digital cocaine”. Elon Musk replied and said, “TikTok feels like such an apparent AI attack that it’s frustrating. I’d rather be attacked by AI in a gentle way, with a rose, candles, champagne, Barry White, clever banter, and so on.”

This would be huge!

Should Elon Musk proceed with launching and working on his own social media network, he would be the first celebrity and public figure to do so!
